I was born in Kraków, Poland. At a very young age I moved to the United States where I ended up spending most of my life. I grew up in a traditional Polish Catholic home. I always tried to live right and I even became an altar boy in the Catholic Church so that maybe I can get some points with God. Later in high school I started to live my own life. I stopped caring about the Catholic religion and thought that God is very far away and distant. I started partying, drinking alcohol to the point of getting drunk and even blacking out. Once I even drove my car after drinking a lot of alcohol, got caught, and the only reason the police officer left me is he had a message on his walkie-talkie that said there was an out-of-control fight and that they needed his help right away. What really changed me was the day I saw Mell Gibson’s Passion of Christ. I went into the movie only hoping for a good action movie of what I heard when I was a kid growing up. I did not expect anything spiritual because I was 100% spiritually dead…

The beginning of the movie already got my attention when there was a quote that read that someone was going to come and be wounded, beaten, and killed to save me from my sins and at the end of the quote there was this citation – Isaiah 53:5 (700 BC) – which showed me that this was a very ancient prophecy. In the whole movie I cried my eyes out because I saw how much Jesus actually loved me. That all that was being done to him, all the blood he was shedding, all the anger, hatred and shame that he took…was for me! When Jesus said he is the way the truth and the life and no one gets to the Father but through him (John 14:6) I was so happy to hear that Jesus is God and I am not! And at the end of the movie, there is a criminal next to Jesus on the cross that just said “I am a sinner. Just remember me when you enter into your kingdom” I said this with him and Jesus replied to both of us “yes, today you will be with me in paradise!” From then on I knew I was finally forgiven and I started a relationship with God through Jesus Christ!

From that day, I have had a love for Jesus that no one can take away from me. I started reading the Bible and it completely transformed me. I continue to try to read the Bible every day, and as often as I read it, it changes my life. After getting saved I also got baptized. I was fully submerged in water to declare that I have died to my old self, my sin has been buried, and I have risen with Jesus Christ as a new creation in him! The Lord Jesus also has given me something the world has never been able to give me: 24/7 love, joy and peace! Daily, I strive to love with all my heart my wife, Jagoda, and our 2 sons – Michael and Samuel. I’m so happy I can be in Poland where I can share Jesus with my own people! As I follow Christ, I grow as a disciple and a disciple maker. Every day I seek to live what Jesus said in his final mission to his disciples before he left: “go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). I pray for the people in Poznan and other cities in Poland to become followers of Jesus Christ, get baptized, and be equipped to share their faith with the people of Poland. Jesus transforming Poland and all nations in this world is what I regularly dream for. May the Lord continue to give me the strength to love, serve, & share with people that Jesus is the only Savior and the only hope for the world!
